Currently we are hosting a range of exciting, engaging exhibitions such as Power Up (the ultimate hands-on, interactive gaming experience) and Turn It Up (Our new major exhibition exploring the science of music's mysterious hold over us) - all which offer some amazing products in our Retail Shop for our visitors to take a little part of the Museum home with them

About the role

We are looking for a permanent, part time, Stockroom Assistant to join us for 30 hours per week, working 1 in 2 weekends.

You will help us manage stock ranging from science kits to robotics and gaming merch.

  • You will help maximise sales through actively replenishing our shops across the museum, highlighting gaps and stock issues and working with the shop floor team to deliver great customer service and housekeeping
You will also assist with deliveries, and processing and organising the stockroom.

Given the support you will provide in the Stockroom, there will be a physical element to the role such as working with ladders, and moving, lifting and offloading boxes.


About you

  • With a keen eye for detail and organisation, you can work with and learn new computer systems and databases.
  • You have good time management, with the ability to prioritise your work. You enjoy building good relationships and contributing as a part of a team, as well as the ability to conducts tasks with little supervision.
