    Senior Specialist Physiotherapist

    Location:
    Leeds

    Salary:
    £43,742 - £50,056 FTE DOE (The salary for this role will be reviewed once the NHS releases their 2024/25 Agenda for Change (AfC))

    Hours: 21 Hours per week

    Main Purpose:

    Engage as a specialized professional in a multidisciplinary team, offering physiotherapy based on the neurobehavioral model to individuals with acquired brain injury.


    You will work within three primary pathways:
    Neurobehavioral, Neurorestorative, and Well-being. Responsibilities include advancing specialist physiotherapy services and collaborating with internal and external partners.

    Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

    Clinical / Professional Practice:
    - Function as an independent professional in a specialized clinical domain, supported for intricate cases.
    - Perform thorough neurological assessments and devise treatment strategies.
    - Implement and modify treatment plans based on patient feedback and team deliberations.
    - Ensure treatment alignment with best practices and empirical evidence.
    - Provide expert guidance and utilize advanced clinical problem-solving skills.
    - Contribute to a specialized domain within the physiotherapy unit.
    - Actively engage in team activities utilizing the neurobehavioral/neuropsychological model.
    - Administer physiotherapeutic interventions across Neurobehavioral, Neurorestorative, and Well-being pathways.
    - Effectively handle challenging behaviors and mental health conditions.
    - Define team objectives according to our goal-setting standards.
    - Safely operate physiotherapeutic tools and interventions.
    - Record treatment outcomes using standardized metrics and ensure prompt data entry.

    About You:
    - Possess a Physiotherapy degree or equivalent.
    - Registered with HCPC.
    - Holds a Practice Placement certification or is willing to acquire one within the initial year.
    - Proficient in performing complex neuro physiotherapy assessments and crafting specialized treatment plans.
    - Familiarity with clinical governance principles.
    - Capable of self-assessment and performance evaluation.
    - Demonstrates continuous professional growth.

    Brings experience in rehabilitating individuals with neurological impairments, including acquired brain injury or related sectors (e.g., learning disabilities, MSK, mental health).
