    The Role:

    Our client is seeking a Commercial & Procurement professional to join the company and work in a consulting capacity to support clients' complex technology programmes.

    This is a great opportunity to enhance your consulting skills and progress to quickly become one of our future business leaders.

    As a key member of the team, your role will be to deliver our existing contracts by providing expert commercial advice to clients and help the company grow by helping to win new business.

    Responsibilities:


    Support client and supplier relationship managementHelp to develop the company's service offering and capabilityHelp to deliver suitable sales opportunities to drive company growthSupport development of procurement and commercial strategiesAssist on pre-sourcing market analysisSupport business cases for new procurementsManage tender activities using public sector frameworksInvolvement in supplier performance management activitiesUndertake value-for-money analysis for business cases and tendersAdvise on compliance with Public Contract Regulations and Defence & Security Public Contract Regulations as well as the clients' internal policies and proceduresCarry out Contract Management and ensure that files are up to date, providing an auditable trail of effective managementRequirements:You will be an experienced commercial & procurement professional, with a good background in public sector procurement, as well as a comprehensive understanding of IT procurement.

    You will be someone who appreciates the challenges of creating something new and is excited to 'roll up their sleeves' to get things done to build the company.

    Successful candidate likely to hold or be working towards CIPS/MCIPS or IACCM accreditationStrong track record of deliveryAbility to build effective relationships with clientsStrong business acumen, able to adapt to different clients and quickly pick up new tasks or use initiative to seek out and resolve problemsComprehensive understanding of Public Contract Regulations and ideally experience operating in the Defence or Security sectorStrong understanding of technology procurement from a business perspective, i.e.

    knowledge of different types of technologies such as cloud, PaaS, SaaSAbility to identify and manage commercial risk & opportunity through effective contractingAbility to deliver results to meet contracted deadlines and customer expectationsMust have or be eligible for SCEmployee Management Incentive Programme:

    In 2022 we launched an Employee Management Incentive programme and have ringfenced 20% of the company to put into staff hands.

    This will enable employees to benefit from additional dividend payments from company profits (on top of bonuses), as well as share in any benefit from any future business sale.
