    We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Thameside, a category B resettlement Prison located in Greenwich, South-East London.

    In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality.

    The working hours are: Monday to Friday - to

    This position is full time or part-time (working 3 days per week), youll receive an annual salary up to 61,000per annum FTE - depending on experience.

    Main duties of the job

    As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • deliver face to face services which will enable patients to obtain health information from the appropriate health care professional
  • To work closely with the medical practitioners in the provision of quality, evidence-based care to patients within the health in justice setting
  • be responsible for the assessment of care needs the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, without supervision, and to teach other nursing and non-nursing staff

    Qualifications & Experience required

  • Registered professional with current registration (NMC)
  • Postgraduate level ANP qualification (MSc)
  • Recognised Nurse Prescribing Qualification
  • Experience of working independently within Nurse Practitioner / Specialist role
  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
  • Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.

    Job responsibilities

    As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner withPractice Plus Group you will need expert clinical skills and demonstratejudgement in assessing and managing wide ranging and complex patientproblems. You will provide clinicalleadership for the mental health team. This multi-disciplinary team is made upof a variety of registered and non-registered professionals including; mentalhealth, and substance misuse practitioners. You will act as a role modelensuring professional appearance and maintaining professional standards at alltimes.

    Supporting senior clinicians on siteyou will be part of the daily leadership team, providing clinical input for allpatients. As a clinical expert in your field, you will work with the team toensure; patient safety, the management of complex cases and ensure the most upto date treatment methodology is applied to patient care.

    You will also;

    Provide

    Outstanding evidence based care, listening andacting on patient feedback so that care is personalised and informed by whatmatters to them. You will also provideassessment, diagnostics, treatment and continued management of patients withacute and long term medical conditions.

    Deliver Non-judgemental care by leading the team to delivercare that is safe, high quality, patient centred whilst meeting CQCrequirements following our policies, procedures and always consideringsafeguarding.
