We now looking for an experienced
Finance Administrator
with a strong accounting background to join a well established Insurance Brokers
based in North West London**As the Finance Administrator you will report to the Head of Finance/Finance Director and liaise daily with the Senior Financial Administrator, Account Handlers, Clients and Insurers.
Working as part of the team, the successful applicant will be supporting the FD/Head of Finance along with Directors and Management, in their endeavours to provide high quality advice and service to their individual, corporate, and trust clients.
Your role will be to control all allocations of client money to and from clients as well as the settlement of all monies to and from insurers.
The role may be broken down into key elements as below
- Settling GI premiums, refunds and commissions with insurers and Private Medical Insurance commissions.
- Bank payments to settle premiums as well as other bank payments as directed.
- Investigating unsettled premiums, credit control around outstanding premiums and any other settlement related queries on GI and PMI.
- Support to ensure IFA's and introducers are paid their correct level of commission
- Credit Control is a key part of the role, using weekly reports to follow up with clients to pay their premiums.
- Record all sales correctly and reconcile commissions
- Weekly reports to review unsettled commissions
- Assist Senior Finance Administrator with the allocations of premiums, and refunds discounts
Requirements:
- An awareness of business flow
- Maintain high standards of accuracy utilising available software or technological resources wherever possible.
- Must have an understanding of Insurance and Financial Services advice process, complaint process, business strategy as advised from time to time
- Must be able to deliver against agreed timescales.
- Excellent IT Skills
- Strong Mathematics Skills
- Accuracy and strong attention to detail is a must
- Strong Accounts background
