    Job Title:
    Finance Business Partner
    Plymouth, Devon + Hybrid Working Arrangements

    Compensation:
    £42,245.

    Role Type:
    Full time / Permanent

    At Babcock we're working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Finance Business Partner at our Devonport Royal Dockyard site.

    As a Finance Business Partner, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary.

    You will be required to learn quickly and take on a role that will be a mixture of "hands on" work whilst also enabling better understanding of the finances within your project team.

    Day-to-day, you'll take responsibility for all aspects of accounting within your projects which will also include partnering with Programme Managers and reporting to the Lead Finance Business Partner.

    Develop 12-month forecasts, analyse performance against budget/estimates and report variances.
    Collaborate with Project Managers to understand financial aspects, identify and mitigate risks.
    Ensure accuracy of revenue, profit, cash flow and order reconciliations for your portfolio at month-end.
    Oversee financial health and profitability of your assigned portfolio.

    This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 4 days in the office/onsite and 1 day working from home.

    Occasional travel to Bristol required.
    Essential experience of the

    Finance Business Partner:
    Good Microsoft Excel skills.
    Demonstrates commercial awareness having spent time in a business facing role - desirable.
    Has experience of project accounting/working in project environment - desirable.
    Qualifications for the

    Finance Business Partner:
    A bachelor's degree or equivalent.
    Qualified accountant (either ACCA, ACA or CIMA) or part-qualified working towards full qualification.
