      Penumbra is one of Scotland's largest mental health organisations which works to promote mental health and wellbeing,prevent mental ill health for people who are at risk, and support those with mental health challenges to live afulfilling life.

      As an advocate for change, Penumbra campaigns to influence government policies at both national and local levels. Italso strives to enhance public awareness and understanding surrounding mental health issues, paving the way fora more compassionate and inclusive society.

      Penumbra is dedicated to delivering exceptional care through high quality, personalised, and recovery focusedservices to adults and young people experiencing mental ill-health. Penumbra delivers a range of servicesincluding supported living and supported accommodation services; community/social inclusion services includingCrisis, and Distress Brief Intervention Services; self-harm projects, including the Self-harm Network Scotland;support for Survivors of In-Care Abuse; and suicide bereavement support, to name but a few.

      Penumbra has experienced and responded to a significant increase in demand for its services. Over the last year, thecharity delivered 77 individual services, supporting 17,755 people. As an organisation it therefore needs todevelop so that it can support the mental health needs of Scotland in the years ahead. Empowered by its strategic plan, Penumbra is committed to expanding its reach so that people have access to the right support atthe right time.

      To do this, Penumbra needs to achieve its full income generating potential as a national third sector organisation.As a key part of Penumbra's Leadership Team, you will develop and implement our Business Development strategy,blending statutory and commissioned funding with trading and fundraising, You will develop and lead our BusinessDevelopment team and will play a vital role in how we grow and deliver for the people of Scotland.

      We are looking for someone who has experience of working at a senior strategic level and who has extensive experiencein a commercially focussed environment. We are happy to hear from you if you are from the third, private orpublic sector. You will need to evidence that your strategy and execution have produced significant incomebenefit for your organisation. You will also need to have drive, determination to succeed, and leadershipexperience in getting your team to produce tangible results and, above all, an empathy and passion for the workof Penumbra.

      We're recruiting for a Projects Officer to join Scottish Recovery Network's small but mighty team

      We're seeking an experienced Projects Officer who will work with colleagues and external partners to contribute tothe delivery of successful collaborative projects which meet our strategic aims.

      You will have a passion for bringing people, services and organisations across sectors together to create a mentalhealth system powered by lived experience which supports everyone's recovery journey.

      You will be committed to values-based practice, mental health recovery and excited by the opportunity to work withothers to bring about much needed change in our mental health system.

      We are looking for a skilled and empathic individual to join our Sutherland team in Golspie as a Resource CentreProject Worker.

      Our Resource Centre in Golspie offers a safe and welcoming environment for people affected by mental illness to meet,socialise and take part in supported activities and outings. This helps to encourage people to feel moreinvolved, included and empowered in their lives. Effective support also promote increased self-confidence andindependence in people who use the service.

      With experience of support work, organising group activities, completing reports and a sound understanding of MentalIllness; the project worker will also be actively involved in promoting and developing the service in

      Who are we looking for?

      You will be responsible for compiling and reviewing development plans for people using the service, and ensure thatthe agreed outcomes are being achieved.

      You are someone comfortable working in a team as well as autonomously, and are proactive in your own personaldevelopment and learning. The successful candidate will be required to be a member of, or willing to join thePVG scheme membership.

      A Peer Development worker post is being offered as part of Renfrewshire Local Employability Partnership (RLEP)initiative to support people improve their mental well-being and move closer to Employment.

      The Peer development worker would have a lived experience and be keen to join a small emerging team. The PeerDevelopment worker will work closely with the Employability Lead on promoting the project throughout RLEP.

      The post holder has the ability to work alongside the Project Lead in the areas below: -

      • To support the delivery of courses to help increase understanding of anxiety and support individuals developself-management skills
      • Liaise with external agencies to publicise mental health support availablethrough RLEP
      • Engage with individuals accessing RLEP services and promote activity.

You will be sensitive and compassionate with the ability to support people in timesof difficulty or distress. You will be an excellent communicator who can work effectively both with individualsand with groups. You will have a positive approach to your own continued professional development and awillingness to participate in relevant training. A relevant qualification and previous experience of workingwith people with dementia would be an advantage.
