    As a Tax Accountant & Tax Compliance Specialist, you'll have the chance to do the following:

    Preparation of Tax Provisions

  • Prepare tax provisions and update management accounts team as to journal amounts to be posted
  • End of year balancing adjustments
  • Monitoring and reviewing corporate tax P&L and Balance Sheet ledgers – this will involve working with local finance teams and ensuring they are posting tax journals accurately for corporate tax
  • Tax Compliance and audit

  • Coordinate with the group's Big 4 advisors and local finance teams to ensure all local entity tax returns are prepared and submitted on time
  • Assist local finance teams with Group tax technical questions and information requirements
  • Monitoring and reviewing corporate tax P&L and Balance Sheet ledgers – this will involve working with local finance teams and ensuring they are posting tax journals accurately for corporate tax
  • Work with our tax auditors during the audit process
  • Reviewing and analysing expenditure costs in respect of corporate tax deductions
  • Working with advisors to maximise our R&D process
  • Large Company Compliance

  • As MIQ Group rapidly grows assist with large company compliance requirements such as: Country by Country reportingPreparation for Pillar 2
  • Other Responsibilities

  • Assisting with expansion projects i.e. setting up in overseas jurisdictions and appropriate structuresAssisting with tax aspects on mergers and acquisitionsAssist with ad hoc advisory tax queriesMonitoring intercompany balancesMonitor WHT requirements and reporting around the worldHigh level review of excel spreadsheets prepared by management accounts team in relation to TP calculations (checking formulas etc)Assisting with IFRS conversion from a tax perspective
  • What you'll bring

  • Top 20 trained or in-house multinational experience
  • Excellent Excel skills– Intermediate Level (VLookup, Sumif, Pivot tables as a minimum)
  • CTA/ACA qualified
  • Workday / SAP Business One/Vision, desirable but not essential
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accountability
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to problem-solve, work independently, and identify potential risks
