Our client is looking for an Account Manager to join their growing, Portsmouth based team.


You should have a keen ambition to work in a proactive sales account management team, responsible for selling a wide range of IT hardware and software solutions.


You will be driving growth in new and existing business and education customers and to exceed their expectations as a trusted supplier.


Role Responsibilities

  • Developing business by identifying new opportunities and new accounts
  • Acting as the single point of contact for your customer. You actively and professionally resolve their queries or issues whilst managing and maintaining expectations. Be a top provider of "excellent customer service".
  • Maintain talk time with key decision makers and prospective customers within departmental guidelines.
  • Demonstrate you are a top performer by using your proven Sales skills to convert prospects/accounts and leads into active spending accounts.
  • Proactively grow your pipeline and win new customers through expanding on existing business leads and generating your own new business opportunities.
  • Improve key metrics within your customer base: supplier rating, vendor market share, establishing new vendors and emerging technologies, customer visits.
  • Understanding and managing the customer's expectations and looking to fulfil your role as a trusted adviser for all of their technologybased needs.
  • Organising and manage regular Business Reviews with your customer base.
  • Taking ownership for discussing and agreeing their plans and provide regular updates on new technology advances / solutions

  • Experience and skilled in creating customer targets, incentives and rebate schemes
  • Experience of customer tender contracts and securing exclusivity
  • Outstanding organisational skills and ability to manage own time effectively.
  • Can demonstrate their ability to go the extra mile, to exceed expectations, conscientious and committed combined with flexibility in attitude and approach.
