We are thrilled to announce a great opportunity to join our exceptional Maintenance team based in Merrow, Guildford. As a Highway Maintenance Officer, you will play a crucial role in delivering and supporting various maintenance activities across a wide geographical area.

Starting Salary: £32,512 per annum
Working Hours: 36 hours per week

About the Team:

Join a team responsible for managing Surrey County Council's most valuable asset, the highway. This critical service ensures the economic growth of the County and involves considerable financial, health and safety, and reputational responsibilities. The team engages with various political stakeholders and plays a vital role during significant or emergency events.

About the Role:

As a Highway Maintenance Officer, you will oversee works and resources related to highway maintenance, collaborating with contractors to deliver an efficient and quality service. Your role involves interacting with customers, promoting Highways and Transport, and upholding customer care standards. You will also work closely with the Highways Technical Support and Communication team to address issues effectively.

Undertake highway maintenance works
Manage commissioned resources
Ensure compliance with policy and procedures

This dynamic role will have you tackling different challenges daily, from drainage investigations to customer communication. Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach are essential for this role.
