    North (including Yorkshire, Scotland, and occasional trips to Ireland)

    Job Purpose

    As On-Site Calibration Engineer you will be part of a team responsible for, testing, calibrate and adjust a wide range of test and measurement equipment types from numerous metrological disciplines on customers premises in the UK and overseas (when required).Discussing technical issues with customers and liaising with admin staff regarding customer contact/requirements.Carry out calibration work back at head office if required.

    You will become an integral member of the team and make a significant contribution to business in achieving its ambitious business growth plans.

    Responsibilities

    • To source and understand equipment specifications when necessary
    • To identify and share ways of improving test techniques and increasing parameters.
    • To provide the administration team with timely data
    • To always maintain a professional attitude
    • To work flexibly to meet customers' requirements.
    • To always keep a tidy and well-ordered environment
    • Obtain product specifications and maintain a suitable library of product specifications.
    • Calibrate a wide range of multi-parameter test equipment from a range of industry sectors.
    • Provide certificate details when calibration is complete.
    • Enter data correctly and update the on-site job system.
    • Ensure customers' requirements are met.
    • Display a professional attitude when in front of customers.
    • Synchronise data within designated timescales.
    • Accurately recording personal activity against KPI's.

    KPIs

    • Accuracy of calibration of a wide range of multi-parameter test equipment from a range of industry sectors: Ensuring that the instruments are calibrated precisely according to standards.
    • Efficiency: Completing calibrations within the allotted time frame to minimize downtime for equipment.
    • Compliance: Ensuring that all calibrations meet regulatory requirements and standards.
    • Customer satisfaction: Maintaining good relationships with clients through clear communication and quality service.
    • Error reduction: Minimizing errors in calibration processes to improve overall reliability of measurements
    • Documentation: Keeping thorough records of calibration procedures and results for traceability and audit purposes.
    • Enter data correctly and update the job progression system
    • Accurately recording personal activity against KPI's.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required

    · HNC in electrical/electronic minimum or a similar discipline or demonstrable qualification through experience

    · Experience within the instrumentation industry or previous calibration experience in an electrical/electronic role.

    · Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.

    · Sound mathematical knowledge.

    · Knowledge of quality standards/systems

    · Good interpersonal skills.
