This role would be a permanent position.It will involve work across 3 main clinical sites as well as out in the community, for example in patients homes, care homes and local hospitals.
Our team regularly support student placements from local universities and our trust also run Podiatry apprenticeships, so candidates will therefore also be involved in supporting these students.
Managing the at-risk foot, Nail surgery and Clinical education. Experience in managing the high-risk foot with a special interest in wound care is particularly beneficial.The ideal candidate will be a true team player, committed to providing high quality patient care with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
The post is for 3 days per week.Days worked can be discussed at interview but all team members should work Tuesdays to facilitate team meetings, clinical supervision, and training.
The ability to network, liaise and build relationships with other health care professionals would be highly advantageous.Mentor students and apprentices as required

The role will primarily involve management of the At-risk foot, nail surgery and domiciliary work. There are also opportunities to support Musculoskeletal Podiatry clinics if the successful candidate has interest in this area.
Knowledge and competence in nail surgery is also a requirement for the role as the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take part in a variety ofclinical roles including nail surgery on a rota basis.
Evidence of relevant Post Graduate experience and training within specialist areas in Podiatry such as management of the high risk foot, the Diabetic Foot at risk and Biomechanical/ Musculoskeletal Assessment Diagnosis and ManagementAbility to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats
Ability to prescribe and cast orthotics / insoles
A degree or equivalent qualification in Podiatric Medicine
Registration with the Health Professions Council
A certificate in administration of local anaesthetics
Evidence of relevant Post Graduate Education, Validated Courses, Training and continuous professional development
Management of serious pathology including diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, renal and rheumatological conditions. Understanding of professional and legal responsibilities
Flexible approach to duties
Able to meet the travel requirements of the role
