    What you will be doing:

    You will be working within the DBA team to support the Oracle and SQL Server database systems in place within the university. You'll work very closely with your colleagues in the Infrastructure Team and the Network Team along with other teams in the IT department. You'll be maintaining and monitoring our existing SQL Server and Oracle database and you'll be involved in projects to enhance and upgrade our capability. We're looking for someone who is prepared to challenge the status quo; ask why; and help drive improvements and efficiencies.

    Qualifications/ experience:

    • Experience working in an environment where critical SQL Server and Oracle database systems are in use.
    • Experience working on both Windows and Unix/Linux OS
    • Relevant qualifications in SQL Server or Oracle administration
