Salary**:
£15K (£25K FTE) for 3 days per week

Location:
The role is based at church in Brixton but will work a hybrid approach

Reports to:
Deputy Chief Executive

Hours:
Part time - 21 hours per week

About the Role

The Training and Human Resources Officer will provide a comprehensive, effective, and pro-active Training & Development service to Ruach City Church (RCC) managers, employees, volunteers, and external customers in the provision of a high-performance Training& Development function, providing professional, efficient and friendly customer service and ensuring all matters are dealt with in a timely effective manner.

Why your role matters

As our Training professional you will market, promote, and deliver Ruach's courses, training and development externally and internally, striving to obtain maximum attendance on courses, webinars, workshops, training and development programmes.

You will implementexcellent administration processes to facilitate course information, bookings, course promotion and disseminating information on a full range of Training & Development for Ruach City Bible Institute training programmes, Academy of Learning courses and Ruachemployee and volunteer training.

You will be accountable for our Training & Development service quality and have the ability to maintain and update procedures, handbooks, and processes; deliver on effective, up-to-date and efficient Training & Development working practices.

You will utiliseour ChurchSuite CRM system, working closely with our Administration Officer and also work with evaluation software to provide effective reviews.

As Ruach's HR Officer you will collaborate with our third party HR provider to deliver excellent HR support to our staff and ministry teams for RCC volunteers.

With the support of our third party provider, you will provide a volunteer handbook, guidance,policies and procedures, training plan, performance procedure, and work with the Administration Officer regarding volunteer recruitment.

We will count on you to deliver a high standard of HR performance working closely with our third party provider, in alignmentto Ruach's aims and objectives, providing advice, guidance and direction where required.

About you

We would like our Training and HR Officer to have professional working knowledge of Training, HR and safeguarding systems, procedures and processes and demonstrable knowledge of the principals involved in giving Safeguarding advice and guidance to parents/carers/children/youngpeople/vulnerable adults.

You will play an important role in the delivery of Ruach's courses, training and development so experience as a learning development professional is critical to the succession of this role.

You will have experience of working in an HR environment, providing generalist HR advice or as an HR Administrator with at least 1 years'+ experience of working within an office environment in administration supporting a team with competing demands.

You will have experience of working with volunteers, or relevant experience of working with people with diverse needs and abilities.

Starting from humble beginnings, with only a handful of faithful members, the church has grown rapidly since its inception in December 1992.The church is known for hosting interdenominational events which have had an overwhelming success in promoting greater unity within the wider Christian church.
