    TheSenior ArboricultureConsultant

    The role includesdelivering a range of arboricultural consultancy and advisoryservices for a variety of projects and contracts primarily in therenewable energy and residential sectors. The chosen candidate willliaise with clients contractors statutory agents and a multidisciplinary team; assisting with managing project budgets andtimescales undertaking arboricultural surveys and with a focus onthe production of highquality technical reports drawings andadvice.

    Key responsibilities andrequirements:

    • Coordinate and undertake arboricultural surveys andprepare reports and plans to BS5837:2012 specifications (includingpreplanning and construction stage support).
    • Undertake arboricultural monitoring andsupervision of works on active construction sites.
    • Undertake tree risk surveys and reports.
    • Produce woodland management strategies.
    • Act as technical specialist to support clientswith pragmatic solutions to complex issues
    • Maintaining and building strong workingrelationships with existing and new clients.
    • Assisting with the development of newarboricultural specialisms for thecompany.

    PersonSpecification

    • Aminimum of 2 years professional experience in an advisory role witha proven track record of successful project management anddelivery.
    • An Arboricultural Qualification toLevel 4 or higher with demonstrable professional experience.
    • Proficient in tree surveying to BS5837:2012and tree risk assessment with the use of relevant software;example: Axiscape/ArborCAD AutoCAD QGIS ESRI GIS mapping etc.).
    • Knowledge of species identification morphologymanagement planning legislation and best practice.
    • Pest and disease diagnostics and controlmeasures and mitigation
    • Professionalmembership of an arboricultural / forestry industry body (orability to obtain this).
    • Ability to apply aproportional and pragmatic approach to technical challenges
    • Excellent written and verbal communicationskills with the ability to produce concise reports to highstandards.
    • Able and willing to travel to sitesand can work autonomously in varied weatherconditions.
    • Full UK drivinglicense.
