About the role

  • The Warehouse Supervisor plays a vital role in managing all storage and distribution processes in achieving effective and efficient results for the Supply Chain function in accordance with Company policies, procedures and the Regional and Global Operations strategy.
  • Manage Inbound and Outbound products to support Logistics in achieving and exceeding good internal and external Customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure service levels, inventory and budget targets are met by managing and introducing efficient strategies within all aspects of the warehouse.
  • Close working with Warehouse management and Order management to achieve set targets.
  • Plan and coordinate the team efficiently to meet resource management.
  • Monitor and report on set KPIs for the department, to include daily, weekly and monthly reports.
  • Carry out special tasks and projects when required, IT, Best practice, Supply Chain improvement projects.
  • 8. _Act as Deputy for Warehouse Management as and when required Including ant daily reporting.

Inbound, Warehouse and Pick and Pack Sections:

Recruit, manage, motivate and train all distribution teams with the end goal of creating a cross functional, multi skilled high-performance team.


Provide clear and concise leadership to enhance productivity and raise work standards, while working to a high degree of safety in the warehouse.


Manage stock locations for both raw materials and finished goods, including demonstrating FIFO principles, managing daily audits, investigating anomalies and rectifying and reporting to the Warehouse Management.


Management of all stock on a JIT basis, for both picking and putting away to ensure all targets are met.


Management of the Pick / Pack section ensuring that time targets are met for UK and Global customers and ensuring accuracy is a high priority.


Health and Safety Compliance:

Ensuring a culture of H&S exists in all aspects of the Warehouse and Distribution sections.

Ensuring all H&S procedures are in place and monitored effectively.

Organize personnel and be responsible for up-to-date training across the department.

Your Qualifications
Warehouse Manager / Supervisor qualification is desirable or proven relevant experience.

Educated to secondary school level is desirable.

Proven track record in distribution, warehousing and storage systems.

Experience of logistics and dealing with 3rd party logistics transport companies.

Export shipping experience.

Microsoft packages - including report writing and formulas.

SAP R/3 level of experience preferred.

Experience of stock control systems, planning and materials control.

Exposure to 6s, Kaizen and continuous Improvement philosophies.

Proven experience in system improvements and projects.
- _A strong leader with excellent communication skills, ability to influence, coach, develop and lead a team.

People management skills including good delegation.

Team player.

A passion and drive to succeed and progress the department coupled with strong problem-solving skills.

Good time management.

Full current driving license.

Willingness to learn and progress.
