The post holder will successfully meet set competencies designed to develop the qualities, skills and knowledge expected to move to a Band 8a.
Length of competency training will be dependant on what qualification/ experience the staff member has achieved already but the following would be expected to be met within months:Collaborating with other senior staff to ensure the delivery of an integrated pharmacy service, assisting with the implementation strategic plans for the development of the Chase Farm site.

Quality improvement and cost-effective, safe use of medicines is at the forefront of everything we do. We have over 300 staff working across the 3 sites in all areas of pharmacy.Pharmacy staff work across areas such as dispensary, stores, wards, outpatient clinics, satellite pharmacies, technical services, clinical trials, medicines advice service and QC.
Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalentConsiderable experience working in hospital pharmacy and proven experience as a specialist clinical pharmacist
Experience of contributing to policy, planning and service development
Experience of managing change and leading service developments
Experience of writing / implementing clinical guidelines and government directives
Evidence of clinical audit/drug evaluation/practice research and the promotion of evidence based practice.
Experience in delivering education and training
Experience as a clinical pharmacy tutor
Experience of clinical risk and clinical governance
