We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, selfmotivated individual who wants to join a small team within a housing company, solely owned by South Cambridgeshire District Council. This role is based at Cambourne offices, where remote working is currently an option. The post will include supporting vulnerable clients living in accommodation provided as part of the Private Sector Leasing Scheme.
Shire Homes Lettings

Limited is a private sector leasing company, solely owned and funded through SCDC. It was set up to provide affordable privately rented accommodation for those looking for a new home.

This exciting opportunity will see you assist vulnerable clients in maintaining and sustaining their tenancy, by providing the necessary support. Experience of tenancy management within the private rented sector will be necessary, as well as knowledge of Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO), although training can be provided.
There will be a requirement to assist tenants with benefit claims, so knowledge of the system would be advantageous.
Specific duties will include:
Provide advice and assistance on tenancy sustainment.
Providing assistance with individual support needs, including referrals to external agencies
Ensuring properties including HMOs meet compliance with current legislation.
Offer practical support to help develop independent living skills
Home visits to clients (DBS check required)
