    Description
    Development finance institution searching for corporate equities lawyer
    This organisation is a government owned investment institution with a focus on emerging countries.

    Established almost 80 years ago, their aim is to assist with the largest development challenges globally by investing capital to support growth and innovation.

    5 billion is invested in 1000+ positive economic, environmental, or social businesses across these emerging countries including green frameworks, technology, and more.

    One of the most crucial frameworks the business is supporting surrounds climate emergency, with at least 30% of new commitments sitting within climate finance.

    The organisation is now searching for a Legal Counsel within the equities space to join their growing legal team in London Working with investment teams to ensure that transactions are pursued in a timely manner and legal risks are identified & managed
    Project-managing broader elements of transactions (such as taxation, environmental & social, and business integrity matters) to ensure relevant input is obtained and core requirements are met
    Interpreting due diligence reports & other advice from external counsel on legal risks
    Advising on investments in difficulty & supervising litigation

    The successful candidate will be a 6+ PQE lawyer with experience in corporate equities, M&A, private equity, joint ventures, venture capital, and related work.

    The candidate should be willing to commute into the London office on a hybrid basis (3 days per week) and have a strong passion for the development finance space.
