To help you focus your thoughts and take an informed decision, here-below is an indicative layout of your Job Description and what is expected from you as Tech Mgr. for CLIENT Marine:

• You'll play an integral role in "Digitizing" vessel technical information across the fleet. You will create a comprehensive and updated database of equipment onboard each vessel with detailed tech/ordering specs and history-card of maintenance, overhauling and/or upgrading work done for each system/piece of equip. onboard.
• Lead and Supervise the migration of existing PMS and database per (1) above to the new Marine ERP Software System which CLIENT is planning to install and Go-live within the 3rd quarter of 2022. This will include training of shipboard officers for efficient use, data entry, reporting and updating. The success of the Computerized Ship Maintenance System, will be the responsibility of the Technical Manager and his team. He will ensure it is accurate, up-to-date, and will conduct analysis of completed jobs / conditions of class.
• Observe recurrent and/or abnormal machinery problems on the fleet vessels. You will maintain an accurate record of these problems and will arrive at the root cause or lead the efforts to define it and prevent recurrence.
• Prepare Maintenance Budget and Annual Forecast for the fleet vessel-wise. Maintain updated comparison of actual costs vs. forecast. This should take in consideration any planned Annual, UWILD, Top-end OH and/or SS. For clarity, the Tech Mgr will also:

a. Prepare and justify annual budget for the Department

b. Review and prepare monthly variance reports (actual vs budget)

c. Ensure that purchases for the Department are made in compliance with CLIENT procurement policy

• Upgrade the existing appraisal system to ensure proper onboarding of new hires and reflect adequate evaluation of each resource.
• Assist with the preparation of Technical Bids for new tenders which CLIENT may decide to participate in from time to time. This shall include the following:

a. Technical review of the tender documents to understand the exact customer requirements for each type of vessel tendered.

b. Review and analyze the detailed technical specs of the proposed vessels and work directly with relevant owners/shipyards/brokers to request all necessary drawings and technical specs required to submit a qualified vessel proposal.

c. Respond to the technical clarifications which may be received from the customer during technical evaluation of CLIENT vessel proposals and ensure closure of all such clarifications to the customer's satisfaction on time.

• Attend onboard vessels during port calls at least twice a month with specific checklists addressing the needs & requirements of each vessel – document in vessel logbook and follow-up with Tech. Supt. for closure.
• Create technical performance statistics and KPI's showing CLIENT performance indexes with benchmarking against competition.
• Attend technical clarification meetings with clients as if and when required
• Coordinate technical assistance, specialists, workshops or shipyards as necessary to carry out planned or unplanned maintenance and repairs.
• Lead the process for any Hull and Machinery insurance claims that occur within the Fleet.
