I have project managed and delivered major eSourcing, Source-to-Contract and T&E systems implementations across shared services in the Financial Services industry, driving significant cost and time savings through standardisation and efficiency improvements. Most recently, I also have extensive Procurement Systems, Data Reporting & Analytics experience within in a variety of industries.

Global Marine Support Consultant – Procurement Logistics at British American Tobacco (BAT)

  • Data Reporting & Analytics support for annual BAT Global Marine Tender – 12 month awarded tender spend in 2022 ~£120Mn across 25+ marine carriers
    • RFQs (Coupa), including post-RFQ bid analysis and award recommendations
    • Supporting carrier negotiations through to final awards
    • Tender BAU activities, including quarterly review of carrier bunker (fuel) costs 
  • Analysis of annual BAT Global Marine Tender results – driving focused reporting to BAT Regions to facilitate proactive cost management through effective use of marine carriers
  • Close collaboration with third party benchmarking to drive marine cost optimization – BAT moving to new “Agile Sourcing” model after successful trials resulting in savings of ~£10Mn
  • Supported BAT Operations “Deep Dive” review of Procurement Category Logistics Sea Freight costs – results presented to BAT Operations Management Committee (Aug 2022), including recommendations for cost-saving initiatives resulting in £2Mn savings

Int’l Trade Programme Consultant – Procurement Logistics at British American Tobacco (BAT)

  • Dedicated support of Global BAT International Trade Programme, identifying duty savings opportunities through various optimization projects across multiple BAT end markets 
  • Led monthly global drumbeat meetings, development of presentations tracking savings delivery against defined global and regional targets, updates from individual workstreams
  • Led “Deep Dive” review of all BAT Directs WMS flows to identify paid customs duties footprint => opportunities to generate savings on paid customs duties and taxes

Global Business Analyst – Directs & NGP Procurement at British American Tobacco (BAT)            

  • Delivered monthly savings reporting, tracking performance against defined global and regional targets; led monthly savings tracking meetings (global and regional), driving actions to completion
  • Collaborated with Procurement Category teams, BAT Finance, and BAT markets to ensure high level of data integrity in savings tracking tool / timely completion of monthly tasks 
  • Coordinated delivery of annual spend inflation planning and budget planning
  • Full process handover to GBS (Global Business Services) function in Romania for both Directs & NGP Global Business Analyst roles

Drove adoption of incumbent Web3 Source to Contract platform across all glh businesses, acting as the conduit between glh and Wax Digital to ensure effective implementation of glh business requirements, including: 

  • New glh Procurement Policy (including improved supplier onboarding process)
  • New Contract Management System (including contract gather and upload) 
  • New glh spend category structure (S2C and P2P) to enable effective tracking of cost savings to P&L and increased reporting MI capabilities

Head of Procurement Systems & Data at Inmarsat

Line management of 3 directs responsible for Global Procurement end-to-end processes including Procurement systems, MI (reporting and dashboards), vendor master data maintenance and processes, and the Inmarsat global corporate card programme. 

  • Developed and implemented strategy for Systems & Data, including:
    • Regular and accurate delivery of Procurement reporting suite
    • Global spend data analysis to aid category teams buying decisions, and assist in commercial analysis and evaluations on key projects
    • Enabled automation of tools to assist in commercial analysis and decision making

  • Delivered “Source-To-Pay” lifecycle compliance reporting, driving department agenda to increase compliant spend through purchase order processing
  • Implemented BNYM Corporate Travel Dashboard, highlighting focus areas for lowering T&E spend globally as part of BNYM expense management initiatives; this included business analysis of BNYM ‘pre-trip’ travel approval, identifying adherence to Travel Policy
  • Implemented monthly Procurement EMEA dashboard detailing key Procurement activity / KPIs for senior leaders

Source to Contract Change/Project Lead at Barclays Bank Plc                   

Project-led SAP Ariba E-Sourcing implementation and system upgrade rollouts to c.600 sourcing users globally.

  • Managed major projects and small change initiatives (both technical and business led), establishing key business relationships (Project sponsors / business stakeholders / external project resources) to ensure delivery of projects on time and within budget
  • Led transition of disparate legacy systems and processes onto a standard global platform, enabling improved, consolidated savings tracking and KPI reporting

Concur Expense T&E Project Lead – EMEA Region at Citigroup                      

Project managed implementation of Concur Expense in 8 countries in EMEA to c. 12,000 employees, resulting in process efficiencies, transactional cost savings and FTE re-allocation through use of a standardised global platform; led all phases of system and change management process from discovery to post-Go Live production support
