    Version 1's market-leading Enterprise Applications Practice specialises in Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and Payroll Solutions with over 650 Oracle Specialists across the UK, Ireland, US, Australia, India and Slovenia.

    Reporting to the Head of ASPIRE Managed Services in Enterprise Applications, you will lead a team to deliver ASPIRE Managed Services.

    This is a senior role in Version 1, with opportunity for the right individual to further progress into senior practice leadership roles across Version 1.ASPIRE is a differentiated value-led approach to Managed Services that relentlessly seeks to make a real difference to our customers business, it places continuous improvement, value, and business innovation at the heart of everything we do.

    ASPIRE is one of our strategic pillars for 2024 and Service Delivery is key to its success.

    As the Portfolio Director you will be expected to lead the team and deliver value to our customers and support the commercial and bid team to win new business and grow the customer base and contribute to the ASPIRE strategy and be at the forefront of value-add initiatives.

    In this role you will have full ownership for the P&L of the portfolio and as such, you will likely have held portfolio or programme management roles in the past with responsibility for budgets in the region of £/€500k to £/€3m, or beyond.

    You will have experience in delivering Customer First outcomes and will understand the challenges in delivering transformational change involving ERP systems.

    Skills such as the ability to inspire and drive teams, commercial acumen and leading on bids for delivery, ability to ask tough questions, curiosity and willingness to learn are regarded as more important in this role than a deep understanding of Oracle ERP.

    Oracle experience is NOT mandatory for this role. The role will suit experienced Portfolio Directors, with Oracle or other technologies such as SAP, Workday, Sage, etc.

    You will be seen as central in the shaping and delivery of key proposals and will be recognised by customers and colleagues as a leader who can bring together the right group of people to deliver the right solution and play a leading role in understanding the needs of the customer, to address customer challenges and understand the commercial balance required to nurture a growing element of our organisationQualificationsYou will have experience in leading a team, in managing and growing a portfolio of projects/customers and you will be passionate about defining and developing solutions which meet customer challenges and understand the commercial balance required to deliver these solutions between top and bottom-line growth.

    You'll enjoy customer engagement and be comfortable with balancing multiple competing demands whilst leading and developing a diverse and highly talented team and promoting and inspiring our core values right across the delivery team.

    Key participant in leading and delivering time-pressure bids, including pricing and customer presentations.
    High commercial awareness and ability to manage, report and analyse GP, EBITDA, margin for your team.
    Proven ability to attain and retain customers with high satisfaction levels.

    Strong stakeholder management and communication skills – will be required to forge relationships with other Portfolio Directors and the commercial team as examples.

    Ability to recruit and retain a strong team of consultants as well as resource planning and management.


    Role Requirements:
    The role will be divided across three areas of responsibility – Customer Delivery, Commercial Growth and People Leadership.

    Customer DeliveryYou will have full accountability for the delivery of end-to-end Customer engagements ensuring our customer is at the heart of everything we do, we understand their ways of working and that we deliver successfully for them.

    You will likely spend a considerable amount of time engaged in Customer forums (e.g., Steering Groups etc) and travel to Customer sites from time to time and be accountable for the customer satisfactions scores and feedback.

    Commercial GrowthYou will work closely with Commercial colleagues to build and support compelling proposals and customer offerings which will enable and support our continued growth ambition for the practice and deliver profitable outcomes.

    You will have your own P&L and be accountable for that.

    You will take ownership of Monthly and quarterly forecasting of team costs and project revenues reviewing actual performance against forecast, understanding gaps and putting corrective measures in place, as appropriate and for achieving GP targets.

    People LeadershipYou will help lead a team of diverse professionals across Functional, Technical and DBA/OCI teams located in the UK, Ireland and India.

    You will ensure that we continue to have world-class levels of engagement and that we are ensuring that our teams deliver excellently through the use of our methodologies and accelerators and are suitably skilled.
