Growing Manufacturing Business
My client are a precision manufacturing business, based in Birmingham, specialising in machining and assembly of high value low volume components.
The Senior Inspector will be a hands-on inspector of product, but will also hold full responsibility for the final inspection department and inspection team.
The Senior Inspector will be required to provide a fully comprehensive and proactive approach to their role and have a detailed understanding of engineering drawings and standard inspection techniques.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the role will focus on efficient management of the final inspection process whilst providing support to the quality team as required.
Senior Final InspectorOwnership of any non-conformance found in the area and utilise data to drive improvements back upstream within the business.
Assist in the delivery of key activities and projects as required.Produce and log data to supply reports and analysis of quality Certification and Documentation as and when required.
Provide back up to the quality team's covering holiday leave and / or supporting overflow activities as deemed appropriate by Quality Manager.
Keep accurate and up to date data and ensuring that is maintained in relation to Quality Administration / Certification.
Promote quality achievement and performance throughout the organisation.Help to improve / develop standard operating procedures (SOP's) and procedures to document the Final process and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Raise relevant quality related training needs where appropriate.Support the quality team in relation to the procedures for ISO 9001 and
Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures.
Be a positive role model in promoting the requirements of the Quality Control Culture and ensuring others operate with the same values.

CMM capability with MCOSMOS software would be advantageous but not essential.
