Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Multiple Sclerosis Nursing service for an experienced MS Specialist Nurse to join our established team at CUHYou will be a recognised expert in the specialty responsible for assessing, developing and implementing Specialist Nursing care programmes for people with multiple sclerosis at all stages of the disease spectrum.
You will be clinically leading the Specialist Nursing pathway and offering leadership, training and supervision to staff. This will require excellent communication and organisational skills and to take a proactive patient centred approach to patient care.
You will be expected to run Nurse led clinics, assessment and monitoring of patients on DMTs, make assessments and plans for symptom management, make referrals, undertake inpatient reviews and home visits, contribute to the development and transformation of the regional and local service in conjunction with the wider clinical and leadership team.

NMC Registered NurseEvidence of continuous professional development
Specialist qualification in Neurological nursing or equivalent by experience
Minimum 5 years post registration (with 3 years senior specialist nurse/management)
Demonstrate expert nursing skills and in depth understanding of MS
Experience of care within a community setting
Competent with standard software packages
To act in a professional manner at all times in accordance with NMC Code of Conduct
Capable of developing liaisons with other practice areas/academic institutions
