    Description

    At Meridian Business Support, we are excited to collaborate with our esteemed partner to fill the position of Senior AV Installation Engineer in Glasgow. If you're a seasoned professional in the Audio-Visual field, this is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career with us. This hands-on role involves working on diverse sites and projects alongside our installation team.


    Our ideal candidate should have:
    - Experience in a similar Audio-Visual role or be ready to transition from a junior position
    - Background in working on commercial premises and construction sites
    - A positive attitude with strong commitment, self-motivation, and organizational skills
    - Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and work independently or in a team

    Key responsibilities under the guidance of the Service Manager include:
    - Installing cabling and containment systems to high standards
    - Setting up and connecting audio-visual equipment
    - Documenting work details in our job management system
    - Demonstrating equipment to clients
    - Assisting with technical queries and attending project meetings

    Essential Qualifications and Experience:
    - Valid UK Driving License
    - Minimum 3 years of Audio-Visual experience
    - Proficiency in modern video distribution and control systems
    - Understanding of audio/video signal flow, routing, and processing
    - Familiarity with TCP/IP networks in the AV sector
    - Hands-on experience with control protocols and ethernet-based distribution methods
    - Proficiency in terminating and troubleshooting various connectors and selecting suitable cable types
    - Ability to interpret plans and schematics, build equipment racks, and work with digital signage and lighting control systems

    Locations/Hours:
    This is a full-time, field-based role with standard hours from 0800 to 1630, Monday to Friday, and opportunities for overtime. Although based in Hillington, we welcome applicants from all over Scotland due to the nature of our work.
