We have an exciting opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our Healthcare Care team at HMP Eastwood Park, a female prison based in South Gloucestershire.

This is a brand new, rare opportunity to join the team, delivering a comprehensive speech and language therapy service to your own caseload within the prison. This role offers flexibility regarding days worked, and you will deliver 4 clinic sessions per week.

Hours

This is a part time role, working hours per week over 2 days. Days and shifts will be discussed at interview.

Salary

For this part time role, youll receive an annual salary up to 49,770per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Main duties of the job

As our new Speech and Language Therapist, your responsibilities will vary. You will

Deliver a comprehensive speech and language therapy service within the prison

Deliver comprehensive, specialist assessments to patients, with diagnosis in all aspects of communication - language, speech, voice, fluency, eating and drinking

Ensure that care is personalised to each patient in your caseload

Provide clinical leadership for the Speech and Language pathway within the prison

As our new Speech and Language Therapist, you will have:

A recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree, or equivalent qualification

Experience of working as a Speech and Language therapist in a large, multi-disciplinary team

Health Professions Council - License to Practice
