    Senior Lawyer – Contracts

    Remuneration:
    £51,410 - £55,400 per annum, market supplement of up £4,786 per annum and generous benefits including Local Government Pension Scheme.

    This is an exciting time for Legal Services at Waverley.

    These new roles will help shape the future of the team, as we seek to contribute to the delivery of our overall Council commitments for the Borough and its residents.

    As Senior Lawyer – Contracts, you will lead on a mixed caseload of contractual matters and advise on procurement, which will include acting as the Council's primary point of contact for all contract transactions.

    Handle the provision of high quality and timely legal advice and support to Officers and Members
    Attend relevant Council Committees, working groups and briefings to give legal advice to Officers and Members, some of which will be held in the evening
    Provide support and supervision to a Legal Assistant

    Be a qualified solicitor, barrister, or legal executive with up-to-date practicing certificate
    Possess demonstrable experience of working in commercial contract law including procurement, any additional experience of other areas of the law (Litigation, Planning, Property or Corporate Governance) would be beneficial
