The role and what you'll be getting up to on a day-to-day basis:

As a Microsoft PowerApps specialist, you will work as part Professional Services team to solve business challenges by designing, developing, and implementing solutions using Microsoft PowerApps.

As a part of this dynamic role, you will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their processes and requirements, offering expert advice on how to leverage PowerApps and other Microsoft technologies to improve efficiency, streamline operations, and facilitate digital transformation. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and excellent communication skills to drive successful outcomes and empower users across various levels of the organization.

Reporting to the Head of Professional Services and working as part of a team, the role will involve working with external clients & vendors, along with internal Service Account Managers and Business Development Managers to deliver solutions to our existing and future clients.

Your main duties will include:

• Engage with business stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements, and translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
• Design and develop custom applications using Microsoft PowerApps, including canvas apps and model-driven apps, to meet specific business requirements.
• Integrate PowerApps with other Microsoft services like Dynamics 365, Power Automate, and Power BI to create comprehensive solutions that leverage the full capabilities of the Microsoft Power Platform.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions for end-users to demonstrate the functionalities of the developed applications and ensure smooth adoption.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for PowerApps solutions, including troubleshooting issues and implementing updates and enhancements.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments and features within the Power Platform ecosystem and advise clients on best practices and strategies for leveraging new technologies.
• Collaborate with project teams, including project managers, developers, and UI/UX designers, to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Perform technical pre-sales engagements in collaboration with the Service Account Management and Business Development teams for PowerApps-related opportunities
• The delivery of Customer Strategy sessions about the adoption/expansion of Microsoft PowerApps within their organisations
• Liaise with the Operations and Professional Services teams to understand the effectiveness of the solutions provided and to understand if and how these can be improved
• Build deep relationships with senior client stakeholders to enable them with the necessary understanding of the solutions being proposed
• Work with the Chief Technology Officer to continually improve the standards and methodologies for the solutions being delivered
• Work with the Chief Technology Officer to maintain awareness of industry and technology developments
• Work with the Chief Technology Officer and/or Chief Operating Officer to maintain and develop the PowerApps service portfolio
• Work to attain vendor accreditations as required by the business
• Act as a mentor to internal teams responsible for implementing and supporting PowerApp-related solutions
• Travel to and from client sites for meetings and presentations, both individually and as part of a wider delivery team

What are we looking for in the successful candidate?

• Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficient in designing and developing solutions with Microsoft PowerApps and Power Automate.
• Strong understanding of common data service, data modelling, and experience with Dynamics 365 integrations.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI and the ability to integrate complex data analytics into PowerApps solutions.
• Solid foundation in software development principles and practices, with experience in using Azure services for application development and deployment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to produce high-quality and accurate architectural and design documentation
• Ability to deliver customer presentations in a professional and consultative manner
• Ability to represent technological solutions that are immediately understandable to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to manage a busy workload with hard deadlines within a busy team
• Ability to communicate effectively across internal and external organisations at all levels
• Ability to provide strategic solutions across a diverse range of clients and technologies
