- Maintenance, repair and fault finding of electrical systems within the Port; including, ship to shore cranes, straddle carriers, distribution networks and lock gate infrastructure.
- Installation and maintenance of LV electrical distribution systems, lighting systems and control circuits.
- Undertake training as an Authorised Person for operating and maintaining HV distribution equipment.
- Develop an in depth working knowledge of plant equipment and associated drawings in order to minimise downtime when repairs are required.
- Report any damage or misuse to Supervisory staff and liaise with operational staff to inform of timescales for repairs.
- You will need to be a time served qualified Electrical Maintenance Technician who has previous experience working within an industrialised environment. Knowledge of AC/DC control systems, PLC's and HV/LV would also be advantageous.
- Our working environment comprises quaysides, warehouses and other Port buildings therefore the ability to work at height, in confined spaces and in an outdoors setting is essential.
- Your hours will be 37.5 per week working a partial shift system involving day and rotational shifts as part of a shift roster. A shift allowance is paid in addition to your basic salary when working shifts.
- You should also have a flexible approach to the hours you work as regular overtime working will be required as well as a willingness to participate in a rostered on-call arrangement.
