Description
Sales Director Working with household names, our client helps businesses and organisations to reduce their carbon footprints and save money through the quality of their products, warranties, and customer service teams.
As part of their exciting growth journey, and they are looking to appoint a Sales Director as they expand their leadership team.
In this role you will shape the future Sales strategy to drive revenue and growth.As a progressive business who are committed to ongoing people development and investment in systems & processes, we believe this is a superb opportunity to make a real impact on their business through a combination of strategic and leadership initiatives.
Key responsibilitiesTeam Management & LeadershipYou will directly lead a team of field Business Development Managers as well as the Inside Sales Manager and implement structured reporting mechanisms.
You will accompany the field sales teams on key visits and provide coaching and post meeting feedback to further develop their skills.
Create a culture of information gathering and sharing amongst the Sales team on competitors along with market trends and customer feedback.
Reporting directly to the MD, as well as into the Board, you will provide meaningful Sales Management reporting information to include current performance along with accurate sales forecasting.
Create a mechanism for the equitable distribution of leads generated by the telesales team, while supporting them to develop their own business.
Structured one-to-ones with your reports to understand their motivations, monitor pipeline management along with the quantity and quality of their BD activities.
Through these structured meetings you will review dashboards of KPI metrics, clear accountabilities, and multiple channels for monitoring performance and making decisive course corrections.
Work closely with Marketing to develop collateral, marketing initiatives, steer digital lead generation strategies, input to thought leadership materials for marketing material, provide guidance on promotions and mailshots etc.
Identify opportunities to further promote the business through events, trade shows, forums, conferences, and trade associations.StrategyLead on how they go to market i.e. geographically, verticals etc.
Develop tendering and bid processes for both Public and Private sector work.
Developing relationships with Buying Groups, architects, builders, and specifiers.
Develop a strategy to gather referrals through existing customers.
Attributes Track record of commitment to professional development and behaving as a role model through sales management and business management education opportunities.
Lead from the front, by delivering your own figures, along with mentoring and developing your sales team.Proven ability to coach sales teams to position product and service offerings against competitors.
Ability to motivate and develop sales teams to over deliver against revenue targets.
Communication and feedback skills which are firm but empathetic.
Consistency and reliability in your performance.
Proactively adapt to react to changing market conditions and time management to split your focus between short-term tactics and long-term strategies.
Organisation and Planning skills to establish business management systems to enable consistent revenue growth.ExperienceManaged and led a team of external and internal sales professionals to successfully deliver and exceed sales targets in the Electronics industries.
In this role, it is expected you will be both in the office in Lincolnshire and field based managing your own sales along with the field sales team.
