    • About the Firm

    We are currently partnering with a multi-disciplinary medium-sized firm in North London (40 mins from Moorgate), and they are actively seeking a Senior Bookkeeper. This firm has experienced exceptional growth over the last two years and has big expansion plans for the next few years. This is the perfect time to join a firm that is not only invested in your professional development but will also support you in achieving your goals.

    At present, our client does not have the capacity to sponsor.


    About the Role

    In this role you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of between clients consisting of sole traders and incorporated entites from various industries. You will have direct client contact and autonomy to manage your portfolio as you see fit.


    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Complete general bookkeeping duties, including capturing daily financial transactions, bank reconciliations, maintaining and revising general ledgers, and managing AP and AR records
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and payroll
  • Reviewing work of Junior Bookkeepers and trainees
  • Answering client queries in a timely manner
  • Ensuring trial balances are complete in preparation for hand over to the accounts department

    • Ideal Candidate
  • Minimum 5+ years of bookkeeping/accounts in a UK based public practice firm
  • Experience with Xero, Sage, Quickbooks
  • Prior exposure to VAT
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
