    Description

    Plant Engineer

    Location: Coventry, West Midlands

    Are you a Plant Engineer and looking for your next opportunity? Company client is recruiting for a Plant Engineer for the client, a cutting-edge facility at the forefront of battery manufacturing based in Coventry and they are looking for a Plant Engineer to join them on an 18 month Inside of IR35 contract / fixed term permanent basis

    Responsibilities:

    1. Project management and equipment vendor liaison.
    2. Minimise downtime and ensure plant reliability.
    3. Maintain reports and inspection records for all associated plant equipment.
    4. Collaborate with various departments to maintain mechanical integrity of all plant programs.
    5. Supervise and develop less experienced engineers and technicians.

    Experience Required:

    • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
    • Working knowledge of PLM systems (PTC Windchill preferred, training provided).
    • Practical experience in factory and site commissioning.
    • Familiarity with DI water, solvent process plant, compressed air, coolant systems, dehumidifiers, and other general plant services.
    • Exposure to equipment used in lithium-ion battery products (beneficial but not mandatory).
    • Knowledge of MES, software control systems, and facilities management (beneficial).

    Skills Required:

    • Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple projects and technical information.
    • Strong analytical and practical problem-solving abilities.
    • Effective communication and technical report writing skills (in English).
    • Desired experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, CREO, or similar CAD software.

    This is a site-based opportunity and the rate for this will reflect the scope and significance of the client in their sector.
