    Data Engineer – Hybrid (3 days in Office) Stratford-Upon-Avon
    £56k + 5% bonus & benefits

    You will work collaboratively with other software engineers, from associates to principals, applying your technical and problem-solving capabilities to scale their applications.

    You'll contribute to the organisation's high-quality data engineering practices, participating in technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support and maintenance of the data platform.

    By going above and beyond implementing new features, the company focus on customer experience, building a high-quality, secure, and scalable data platform.

    Modern big data architecture.
    Continuous integration and automated production deployments.
    Application health and availability monitoring.
    Data platform design patterns driving robustness, scalability, and performance.

    Working as part of an enthusiastic, fast-paced, and motivated agile data platform team that takes pride in delivering a high-quality platform.

    Continually developing and improving the data pipelines and technologies.
    Developing the Data Platform SDK.
    Helping to shape and design new data products and features within a Data Mesh architecture.
    Pairing with senior engineers to improve knowledge.

    Proficiency in designing and implementing data models, including star schemas and snowflake schemas. Expertise in SQL.

    • Experience in SQL, NoSQL, Blob, Delta Lake, and/or other enterprise scale data stores.
    Proficiency in designing and building data pipelines for data processing and transformation. Familiarity with scheduling tasks and jobs for data processing using basic tools or platforms. Proficiency in automating simple data workflows and ETL processes.

    • Knowledge of basic data governance principles and compliance requirements. Competence in implementing data quality frameworks and automated checks.
    • Demonstrable Ability to author data transformations using ETL tools such as DBT.
    • However other Cloud platforms like AWS/GCP are acceptable.
    • Experience using Python with data (Pandas, PySpark) would be an advantage. Other languages such as C# would be beneficial but not essential.
    • Any experience in MLOps and productionising data science initiatives would be beneficial.
    Proficiency in interpreting data analysis results and drawing meaningful conclusions
