    Vacancy Summary

    Job Title: Senior Design Manager

    Job Type: Permanent

    Location: Suffolk

    Salary: c£70k-£80k basic plus competitive package inc car or allowance, health, bonus, pension etc.

    Company & Project: A highly regarded main contractor specialized in the Mixed-Use, Healthcare, Education, Leisure, Residential, Commercial, and Regeneration sectors, is looking for a Senior Design Manager for a new project win valued at £30m. The role involves overseeing design coordination from 2nd stage procurement to on-site execution.

    Duties & Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will manage technical compliance and design, focusing on early feasibility and procurement stages. They will also be involved in on-site design coordination and external consultants management, acting as the main liaison between design teams, clients, and on-site delivery team.

    A detail-oriented individual with strong construction knowledge and a process-driven mindset is crucial for this role.

    Desirable Experience:

    • Extensive experience as a Design Manager, Technical Manager, or Design & Build Manager on large construction projects over £30m from planning to completion.
    • Minimum of 10 years' experience with Main Contractors.
    • Excellent understanding of Construction methodology and Design & Build contracts.
    • Previous Roles: Senior Design Manager, Design Manager, Senior Design Coordinator, Design & Build Manager.

    Qualifications & Skills: HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.
