    Working in Security Operations is crucial as we play a vital role in ensuring the safety of Virgin Money. We are on an exhilarating journey with a grand vision as we expand our team to bolster our security and cyber operations.

    The Vulnerability Management Team is accountable for analyzing and reporting vulnerabilities on Bank infrastructure, assets, and code, assessing associated risks, managing key technical and business stakeholders, and collaborating on remediation plans. They serve as subject matter experts on the Bank's vulnerability scanning tools and oversee the organization's response to identified threats.

    The Cyber Security Vulnerability Management Specialist is an integral part of this dynamic, high-performing Security Operations Team, with the responsibility of contributing to the organization's Vulnerability Management control.


    What You'll Be Doing...
    • Influencing the right outcomes for the organization to reduce risk, enhance quality, and minimize manual effort.
    • Taking the lead in continuous improvement programs to optimize processes, mitigate risk, and ensure enhanced efficiency.
    • Offering specialized knowledge in Vulnerability Management with a comprehensive understanding of infrastructure, assets, or code.
    • Identifying, analyzing, and reporting vulnerabilities on Bank infrastructure, assets, and code.
    • Engaging and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to ensure articulated and understood security operations requirements.
    • Closely collaborating with security technology vendors to identify and implement control enhancements and address issues as needed.
    • Providing an expert level of knowledge and experience in vulnerability management technologies, with the ability to pinpoint improvements to support future direction.

    We Need You to Have...
    • Experience with Vulnerability Management solutions, capable of functioning as a subject matter expert and providing support to existing team members.
    • Demonstrable proficiency in a vulnerability management scanning tool such as Qualys, SonaType, or SonarQube.
    • Advanced knowledge of vulnerability management processes.
    • Demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving, and IT system skills.
    • Proficiency in effective communication and resolution of complex scenarios.
    • The motivation to manage your own deliverables and development.
    • The capability to lead intricate technical improvements and innovations.
    • Strong expertise in data analysis techniques.
    • The ability to work under pressure, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

    It's a Bonus If You Have But Not Essential...
    • Specialization in analyzing vulnerabilities identified in infrastructure, assets, or code.
    • Experience with Windows or RHEL OS platforms, understanding of patching processes and automation options.
    • Hands-on experience with scripting.
    • Knowledge of Azure and cloud infrastructure.
    • Familiarity with Penetration Testing, its practical approaches, and methodologies.
