    Are you a STEM student passionate about data science and making an impact? Join our vibrant R&D team in Bristol and:

  • Tackle real-world challenges using cutting-edge tech (statistical methods, machine learning, cloud computing)
  • Develop your skills on exciting projects like AI-powered particle image analysis, complex mixture data analysis, and Bayesian modelling for scientific instruments.
  • Learn from the best in a collaborative environment with access to industry-standard tools and libraries.

    • About the Role:

  • Duration: 13 months, starting July 1st, 2024, ending 25th of July 2025
  • Salary: £18,525 per year
  • Benefits: 25 days paid holiday + UK bank holidays, employee assist programand more
  • Location: Bristol Digital Hub (close to Temple Meads station)
  • Hybrid working, based on your tasks.

    • Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a STEM degree (Physics, Math, Data Science, Programming)that offers an Industrial Placement Year
  • Right to work and live in the UK for the duration of the placement.
  • Passion for STEM, and an interest in machine learning
  • Some experience in codingin Python and/or Matlab
  • Creative thinking – design will be at the heart of this work.
  • An interest in understanding customer needs and communicating results.
  • Curiosity and desire to learn – the projects are interdisciplinary
  • A scientific approach to problem solving.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
