Our client is a market leader in providing comprehensive and bespoke construction testing services across various sectors of the UK construction market.

With expertise spanning commercial, rail, roads, airports, utilities, residential, and more. They are known for their technical knowledge, collaborative approach, and extensive network of laboratories and field-based teams nationwide.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the General Manager will oversee the management of our site and its 100 staff members.

The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering testing services, TIC (Testing, Inspection, and Certification), or aerospace manufacturing, with a strong focus on operations management, commercial acumen, and financial proficiency.

Lead and manage all aspects of site operations, ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety throughout the site.
Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and cost management to optimize resources and maximise profitability.
Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.

Strong background in operations management, with a focus on engineering testing services, TIC, or aerospace manufacturing.
Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, reduce waste, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Commercial mindset with a solid understanding of financial management principles.
