    About the position you're considering

    This crucial role involves overseeing the Cyber Security of the client's digital estate. The role includes conducting Incident Response to analyze and manage cyber security events to protect the client's core network. Responsibilities also include maintaining and monitoring client networks and systems from a security standpoint.

    Your role

    Provide around-the-clock capability to manage activities throughout the event/incident life cycle in response to various types of security incidents, such as:

    • Account Suspension
    • Device Access Restriction
    • Malicious Software
    • Password Reset
    • Antivirus
    • Email Phishing Spam Virus
    • Lost / Stolen Devices
    • Vulnerabilities / Patches
    • Other incidents as new capabilities are introduced.

    Responsible for daily operational threat detection and initial analysis of information security events on the SIEM console. This includes investigating suspicious security events, trending analysis, monitoring dashboards and reports, and escalating security events to appropriate teams.

    Operating within 'Official Sensitive' & 'Secret' tiers, analyze and manage cyber security events in defense of the client's core network and future cloud environments. Provide feedback to the Detection Engineering team for continual development of customer analytics.

    Inform designated managers and cybersecurity teams of suspected cyber incidents, articulate event details, and report any identified trends or TTPs from incidents.

    Your skills and experience

    • Must have a degree level/SANS or equivalent experience
    • Knowledge of Cloud environments and Security Operating Centre (SOC) environments
    • Experience in operational CIS and security with the technical capability to understand and manage complex cyber events
    • Ability to translate technically complex situations into operational impacts and influence senior stakeholders
    • Strong knowledge of ITSM tooling such as Remedy, ServiceNow, HPSM9

    Your security clearance

    Developed Vetting (DV) required
