    The Opportunity – National Account Manager (Foods Division)

    Solent Group is looking for a proactive National Account Manager to nurture relationships with customers and partners. The role involves expanding current accounts and acquiring new business to enhance our esteemed portfolio. The ideal candidate must excel in project management and meeting targets.

    We seek a seasoned National Account Manager familiar with FMCG, ideally in the food sector. An individual with a proven track record in customer retention, team motivation, and goal achievement. A strong business acumen and commitment to excellence are essential for this role.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Bring passion and drive to grow existing clients and generate new business
    • Live by Solent's Values and collaborate with teams to pursue the Vision
    • Coordinate with departments to meet customer strategies
    • Create custom sales plans/strategies for clients
    • Independently execute sales strategies to meet account-specific goals
    • Understand customer KPIs, set targets, and propose strategies for improvement
    • Explore growth opportunities and deliver value, margin, and volume targets
    • Support the wider sales team and assist colleagues with their accounts
    • Manage project milestones, progress, resources, and relationships
    • Lead project implementation and ensure visibility and feedback

    About You

    • Minimum 2 years' experience in national account management, preferably with top retailers
    • Strong business acumen
    • Essential experience in Retail/FMCG/Food, ideally with leading retailers
    • Experience in our product categories, particularly in Foods/Manufacturing or Private Label
    • Interest/experience with international retailers
    • Detail-oriented with multitasking and prioritization skills
    • Proficient in Critical Path Management, Resource Planning, and Project Risk Assessment
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint
