- Primary Underwriting counterparty assessments
- Provide Second line challenge on loan approval process
- Provide Second line attestation on approval process
- Ownership of Model review and procedure review on aspects such (ECL,PD, LGDs, EADs)Scorecard Oversight & Quantitative Development
- Ownership of Loan Origination Policy
- Thematic reviews on underwriting process and controls
- Drive governance around model changes or updates, and ensure approval at relevant Risk committees
- Develop executive reporting, review reports
- Monitor and report on counterparty exposures
- Regulatory reporting oversight - second line review and approval
- Oversight and some preparation of regulatory reports
- Development, collation, preparation, and presentation of MI for Excomm, CRC, RACC, BRC and Board
- Monitor and report on all Large Exposure Daly positions - including daily monitoring
- Oversight of risk models operating in accordance with policy and use test - including annual review of model inventory
- Mentoring and managing junior members of the team
- Risk appetite statement
- Recovery plan and Risk Management Framework
- Model risk management (incl EUC) policy
- Quantitative Modelling capability
- Entrepreneurial attitude, you think on a macro scale while managing micro-processes

Due to continued growth our client is looking to appoint a Credit Underwriting Second Line Oversight Manager to manage the oversight of all Credit Risk position within the bank as well as underwiting issues and oversight responsibility in accordance with the risk appetite statement.
You will be expected to build a collaborative relationship with the 1st line of Defence Credit / Underwriting team as well as build Quantitative models for effective challenge of 1st line of defence outputs.
