    Description

    InstaDeep is seeking an Applied Research Scientist to be part of the team focused mainly on developing algorithms and data pipelines related to physics-based methods. As a member of the BioAI team, you will play a key role in innovating approaches in molecular modeling, protein interactions, and more, using your technical skills. You are expected to stay updated on the latest advancements in machine learning and classical modeling to enhance existing solutions and deploy them effectively. Collaborating with a diverse team, experimenting with various strategies, analyzing results, and communicating findings are crucial for delivering and maintaining impactful solutions.

    Responsibilities

    • Design, implement and deliver research in computational molecular physics/biology.
    • Implement and test innovative enhanced sampling methods and free energy calculation techniques.
    • Collaborate with fellow engineers to integrate simulation solutions into drug discovery platforms.
    • Present results internally and externally in a clear manner.
    • Stay updated on biology, biophysics, and machine learning advancements.
    • Write maintainable code and documentation.

    Required Skills

    • Master's, PhD degree or equivalent in Biophysics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
    • Proven track record in methods development for molecular simulations.
    • Strong software engineering skills (Python, Docker, Linux, Git).
    • Experience with protein structure modeling and simulation.
    • Excellent English communication skills.
    • Work permit for the location.

    Nice to have

    • Experience with quantum mechanics software.
    • Cloud-based infrastructure experience.
    • Familiarity with in-silico drug discovery.
    • Passion for solving biological problems.
