HGV Workshop ManagerI'm delighted to be recruiting for my Client based near Skipton for an experienced HGV Workshop Manager to join their highly successful business.
You will provide leadership to the Workshop Team and will be hands-on on being responsible for the organisation and management of the Workshop.
ResponsibilitiesOrganising workshop workload ensuring Company quality and efficiency standards are achieved prioritising the workflow whilst ensuring we meet current legislations, health & safety and DVSA standardsMonitor the requirement and authorisation of replacement parts ensuring all parts replacement is authorised by the leadership team/manufacture (Warranty/R&M) prior to repair.
Ensure effective fault diagnosis by the Workshop team and subsequent rectification of defects through coaching and mentoringManage workshop staff, ensuring productivity levels of engineers meet company expectations.
All documentation to be completed in line with the company's procedures and to ensure this meets the manufactures warranty and R&M standards, completing and submitting to central admin in a timely manner.
Ensure all sub-contract repairs are recorded and costed correctly before processing invoices.Ensure adherence to company procedures in line with company policies, health and safety procedures in line with quality standards.
Candidate ExperiencePrevious experience of managing a mixed ability teamPrevious experience of servicing, maintaining and repairing vehicles to a high standardPrevious experience of maintaining a tight controls on costsPrevious experience of completing service and repair documentation and records to meet required standardsUp to date knowledge of basic H&S legislation and practice and DVSA requirementsThis is a mixture of office/workshop based roleAn annual salary of up to £45,000 will be offered based upon experienceHours of work are Monday to Friday (Apply online only)
