    Main duties of the job

    We are currently seeking a dynamic Business Intelligence Partner to join our team. Your analytical expertise will be crucial in identifying solutions to improve healthcare processes and drive quality within our team. You will be part of the Senior Management Team and work directly with services to understand their requirements and then build automated reports, tools, and applications that answer their specific will provide expert informatics advice and guidance for analytics projects, ensuring that systems and services are developed and implemented in line with national data definitions and standards.

    We are looking for an individual with:

    Advanced knowledge of IT tools/systems such as SQL, data cubes, Power BI and web development tools and languages.

    The ability to interpret highly complex informatics concepts and guidance and communicate them clearly to a range of people.

    Track record of delivering high quality work in demanding timescales and managing resources effectively.

    Demonstrable staff development skills and excellent negotiating skills.

    The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

    This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months to meet the needs of the service.

    Essential

  • Educated to master's degree level or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Understanding of strategic informatics issues within the healthcare environment and current priorities for NHS Wales.
  • Healthcare governance, performance management, improvement programmes, information systems in the NHS.
  • Desirable

  • Service/Quality Improvement qualification.
  • Experience

    Essential

  • Significant experience within an information environment
  • Detailed knowledge of information requirements and standards within a healthcare environment.
  • Experience of statistical analysis of highly complex information.
  • Experience of using a structured project management approach to deliver projects within timescales.
  • Experience of communicating complex issues and data concepts to a range of people.
  • Experience and understanding of Population Health and its application within NHS Wales.
  • Experience of Presenting Information both verbally and written.
  • Desirable

  • Experience at a senior management level.
  • Experience of Project and Resource Planning and change management
  • Experience of Quality/Service Improvement processes and techniques
  • Skills

    Essential
