    Facilities Manager EMEA - London, United Kingdom - SEI1GLOBAL

    Description

    The Corporate Services group comprises of the various support functions for the UK business: Human Resources (HR), Recruitment, Finance, Internal Audit, and Facilities, Reception, Events and Hospitality. SEI is seeking to hire a senior Facilities Manager to manage the day to day running of the SEI London facility to a high standard, ensuring day to day business activities are able to run smoothly and to ensure our guests and employees are well supported in a pleasant and safe environment.

    What you will do:

    • Accountable for the effective running of the Facilities function in our London, Dublin and Luxemburg offices
    • Vendor Management – contracting, vetting and cost effective management of all vendor necessary to support the facility
    • Health & Safety Management – responsible for ensuring all Health & Safety policies and procedures are maintained, safety tasks are completed and recorded, employees and managers are trained and consulted, incidents and accidents are managed promptly and appropriately, records are maintained and reports are provided to the Board on a quarterly basis
    • Post and Print Operations – responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of our post operations and management of onsite outsourced personnel
    • BMS and Critical System - monitoring of environmental conditions and status of critical and non-critical systems
    • Security - responsible for SEI London's access control and CCTV equipment and ensuring all records are maintained and audited to ensure security levels are maintained
    • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning - working knowledge of our UPS and generator backup systems; responsible for leading BCP in respect of Facilities and full understanding of Disaster Recovery processes
    • Office Management – responsible for fostering an outstanding workplace environment and client experience through coordination with Events, Reception, Catering Services, IT/AV and liaising with Property Management Staff

    What we need from you:

    • Membership of BIFM (British Institute of Facilities Management) level four or above or equivalent benefical
    • Ideally a minimum of 10 years of experience in Facilities Management
    • Experience in Project Management especially office space layout and design
    • Extensive experience managing teams and leading them to deliver consistent results
    • Previous office reloaction projects
    • A proven track record in Customer Service – experience gained from working in a customer focused environment
    • Given the nature of responsibilities some degree of flexibility around core work hours is essential and occasional business travel will be required

    What we would like from you:

    • Previous Financial Services experience desirable
    • Recognised Health & Safety competence and training such as the below or equivalent:
      - NEBOSH Certificate, Level 4 or above
      - NVQ Level 4 or above
      - Grad IOSH(Institution of Occupational Safety and Health)
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; listening skills
    • Ability to maintain discretion and remain calm under pressure
    • Positive, proactive, hands-on and highly customer focused
    • Ability to use initiative and resourcefulness to create solutions to potential problems
    • Proven analytical and problem solving skills, displaying creativity and lateral thinking
    • Highly adaptable and embracing of change in a dynamic, fast moving organization
