    Description

    Are you looking to develop your hand therapy skills? We are looking to recruit an innovative and enthusiastic physiotherapist or occupational therapy to join our hand therapy team.

    Substantive and fixed term opportunities may be available.


    Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is an Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC) and we have two clinical academics within the therapy team supporting improvement and research projects.

    Our mission is to provide world class healthcare for our patients, through excellence in research, education and training.

    The post is static and based at Charring Cross and St-Mary's Hospital. The post holder will carry a varied caseload of patients referred by trauma and orthopaedic, plastics and rheumatology.

    The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a largely outpatient caseload, but will also have responsibilities covering hand therapy inpatients on the wards.

    To provide high quality hand therapy management to patients at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. To perform advanced hand therapy assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme

    Degree (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapist.
    State registration with the Health Professions Council.
    Recent substantial and sustained experience in relevant physiotherapy specialities and clinical settings
    Experience of working as part of a physiotherapy and multidisciplinary team
    To have participated in service development projects.
    Experience of clinical education of staff, students or assistants.
    Experience of supervision of students/ physiotherapy assistants, with development of basic supervision skills.

    Previous experience in hand therapy

    Able to carry out manual therapy techniques and therapeutic handling, requiring skilful and strenuous physical effort during the working day.
