    JOB TITLE: Head of Supplier and Commercial Management

    SALARY: £101,932+

    LOCATION(S): Edinburgh, Leeds or Bristol

    HOURS: Full time

    WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our hub locations.

    We're the Supplier Management team, supporting the Insurance, Pensions and Investment (IP&I) business as part of Lloyds Banking Group. By building strong and long-lasting relationships with suppliers, we're enabling the Group to stay ahead of the competition and better serve its customers.     We're seeking a dynamic and expert Supplier and Commercial Manager to join our team and be responsible for our supplier relationships and commercial agreements. This role requires a strategic problem solver who can effectively lead risk and compliance while supporting the business to promote positive relationships with our suppliers.

    The role will involve:

  • Contract Negotiation: Alongside our sourcing team, support the business to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure favourable agreements, in line with Group policies and framework.
  • Performance Management: Monitor supplier performance against key performance indicators and implement improvement plans as necessary.
  • Dispute Resolution : Support accountable executives to resolve disputes and conflicts with suppliers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Commercial Management : Develop and implement commercial strategies to improve visibility of the commercial position on key supplier arrangements, optimise value and mitigate risks across the supplier landscape.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external. Act as a liaison between the company and suppliers, facilitating communication and resolving issues.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Group cross-functional teams to align supplier strategies with business objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in supplier relationships and performance.

    What you'll need:

  • Proven experience of developing and delivering a successful supplier strategy, plans long-range goals, objectives and overall direction which support the company's strategy.
  • Demonstrate business acumen relationship optimisation, vision, and planning capabilities.
  • You'll also develop strategic solutions to long-term business needs by anticipating sophisticated issues, challenges and opportunities, and leading output delivery.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract negotiations.
  • Excellent understanding of risk management and compliance principles
  • Specialist expertise in managing supplier relationships in areas such as:Offshore suppliersBusiness Process OutsourcingSoftware as a Service
