Our client, a small, family-run business, based out the outskirts of Skipton, is looking to recruit an Office Support Assistant to join their close-knit team.

This is a hands-on office support role, involved in all aspects of the business.

You will demonstrate a willingness to support the entire team in this incredibly varied role.


Driving licence and own car essential.

Main Duties

  • Admin work (ordering and maintaining office supplies, printing, scanning, taking payment, keeping the front desk tidy and presentable for client visits)
  • Making tea/coffee/lunch (coffee on first thing, 'Tea at 3', lunch ordering and collecting)
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy salesroom (cups/rubbish often taken to the kitchen and tidied away)
  • Doing lunch runs into town for clients/staff/directors and a willingness to offer
  • Assisting with courier collections (preparing collection notes and informing porters to collect stock at certain times)
  • Helping other staff members with moving furniture, and other large items
  • After training period, you will be involved in more areas of the business such as marketing (social media, photo collection and weekly newsletter generation)

Key Requirements

  • Strong IT skills and quick to learn new systems. Mac experience is an advantage
  • A bright, friendly, personable and professional manner
  • Experience of working in a fastpaced office environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail
  • A-Level in English and Media, Grade C or above
  • Qualification in MS Office Suite including Excel
  • Previous Reception/PA experience would be an advantage
  • Physically fit with the ability to help lift furniture/stock as necessary

Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. Some Saturday work (potentially 1 -2 days per year)


Salary:
£22k - £26k DOE
