Description

We are looking for people with a clean, valid UK driving licence who have been driving for at least 2 years to fill a specific support worker role within our organisation.


You must be flexible and able to work early (8 am - 4 pm) or late (2 pm - 10 pm) shifts or any hours between those times as suits the needs of the service users.

There will be no night shifts required.


Gofal Cymru Care supports teenagers and adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs in small (maximum 6 bedroom) residential settings across Cardiff.

Your primary task will be as the driver accompanying service users in the community enjoying leisure activities and taking them to and from appointments or places of education.


You will be required to provide any support necessary to service users both in the community and whilst in house in line with duties expected of all support staff.

This will include helping with personal care in some cases (washing, dressing, toileting, etc) and supporting our residents to carry out activities both in and outside of the home, e.g.

cooking, cleaning, shopping, going to the gym, days out and other leisure activities as an integral part of the team.


You will be expected to look after the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs of those we support using a person-centred approach, promoting their choice, independence and dignity.

Requirement

  • Must have a clean licence (Due to policies and procedures)
  • Must have been driving for over 2 years (Due to policies and procedures)

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£9.90-£11.50 per hour
