Thisensures that we consistently deliver high quality and pragmatic services and advice.We require an enthusiastic and talented Field Ecologist to join our team to help deliver ourportfolio of Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) projects on wind farm sites and support withwider ecological and water quality surveys (protected species, bats, habitats, peat).
The position will be largely site based so you must love the great outdoors in all itssplendour, and in all the elements.
The position will involve a mixture of lone and pairedworking, so you must be resourceful and content to work alone.
Undertaking site inspections/audits to monitor the performance of construction works.Providing guidance and advice to contractors and the client during the construction.
Ecology surveys (including protected species and peat probing).
Data entry (Excel) and digitisation (QGIS).
Degree or equivalent experience in an environmental field (Ecology, Zoology,Environmental Management).
~ Valid UK driving licence (manual is essential).
~ Knowledge and experience of undertaking ecology surveys.
~ Strong interpersonal skills and a flexible and proactive approach to work.
~ Strong IT skills including, MS Word and Excel.
~ Willingness to travel and work away from home.
~ Willingness to support other disciplines within MacArthur Green (such as ecology, water qualitymonitoring and peat) when required.
~ Experience of working on large scale renewable projects.
~ CSCS Card.
~Employment Type:
Full time, permanent
Pension contribution: 3% (based on you contributing the legal minimum of 5%)
