    Maintenance Manager Opportunity at a Leading Manufacturing Business

    An exciting opportunity awaits for a Maintenance Manager to provide expertise and guidance for the engineering, maintenance, and facilities/functions of a manufacturing business with a rich history spanning over 60 years.

    Key Highlights:

    • A smooth transition awaits as you take over from the retiring incumbent who will provide essential support during the handover period.

    Responsibilities as Maintenance Manager:

    • Manage day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
    • Ensure compliance with engineering-related regulations.
    • Establish and oversee preventive maintenance systems.
    • Maintain high machine reliability levels.
    • Supervise site services/facilities upkeep and construction projects.
    • Advise the management on budget and capital investments.
    • Handle CAPEX projects and budgeting.
    • Coordinate with insurance providers.
    • Manage external contractors.
    • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety protocols.
    • Handle management duties including appraisals, training, and absenteeism.

    Requirements:

    • Experience in maintenance and facilities management in a similar manufacturing setting.
    • Relevant engineering/maintenance qualifications, preferably at HND level.
    • Solid maintenance/engineering knowledge with an electrical background.
    • Previous experience in contractor management.

    A reputable supplier of high-quality products, established since the 1950s, and committed to continuous improvement. Employing over 300 staff at their facility in South Wales.

    Package Includes:

    Salary: £45,000-£50,000 (based on experience), pension, private medical, plus 27 days holiday and bank holidays.

    Working Hours:

    Monday to Thursday: 8 am-5 pm; Friday: 8 am-4 pm.
